Just to let you know I (finally) put something on the dna page! It's basically the contact info and web site links to get you to people who can explain the whole dna thing a lot better than moi! I do know that finding genetic connections can be very helpful. For example, I know my gggrandfather was born in Mayo. Period. Mayo is a big place! I'd really like to find his parents, but where to start looking? That's where dna comes in handy! When someone - either from Ireland or elsewhere - knows (lucky souls) where their Irish ancestors lived...specifically....and gets their dna tested...and we're a match with them - ta da!...we know where to start looking! Very cool. Anyway, check it out - and go for it! (FYI - it's a very easy test - just a Q-tip swap inside the mouth. Get your oldest living male Munley to take the test.)
PS - this blog is a great venue to post any 'testimonials' about participating in the dna project if you'd like to share.
