POST a reply HERE if you ARE COMING to the REUNION!
Hi Everyone,
It will help us a lot to know how many are coming to the Reunion. I know many of you are on the 'Munnelly Connection' on Facebook - and will reply there if you're going...but since you're here anyway...reading this....just take a sec and post a reply here too. Thanks! :) Daily itineraries for the reunion are up! Please check them out. I need to know if I should reserve a seat for you on the coach - so please let me know (How many and which days). Can't wait for June!

My mother's maiden name was Kathryn Monley. Her father, Patrick Munley, came from Ireland to the USA in the 1890s,or close. We are staying with cousins in Ballina..

I'm coming. Arrive Dublin June 20 9:25. Will spend some time in Dublin before driving a rental car to Ballina. Planning a slow trip on the coast back to Dublin. Leaving Saturday for home. Will try to assemble research and share.

We're coming, Colm, Deirdre (nee Whyte) and Ronan Munnelly from Dublin. Staying in Hotel Ballina and looking forward to showing our son Ronan a little about his heritage. My brother Tara and his family and my mother Annette (nee O'Reilly) hope to travel from Galway and Clare respectively.

Since you mentioned other family members possibly coming, I wanted to make sure you knew about the May 1st deadline. You can confirm for them, or they can get on this site and confirm themselves - whatever is easier. The main thing is that I need to have an accurate head-count. Thanks!

Hi Kathy, My brother lives in Galway, so will commute during the weekend. My mother may stay with him and do the same. We will arrive from Dublin at lunchtime on the Friday and hope to connect with you at Mary's cottage kitchen before you head to Ceide. Looking forward to it. Colm.

My husband has been really encouraging me to join your group in Ireland in June, and so I am coming! I am hoping to join an archeology field school dig in Trim the week after the reunion at Blackfriary. I think you mentioned reserving some rooms at a hotel in Ballina. Can you send me more information about that?

I started researching my great-grandparents about 2 years ago and got stuck and found Marianne G.! My grandmother was Anna Manley from Locust Gap, PA. Right now my daughter is planning on going with me! I also have invited two friends that have not committed as of yet. I want to finalize my plans by next week. I was in Mayo 2 years ago and was blessed with meeting the Coyle Clan! My great grandmother on my father's side was a Coyle from the Belmullet/Geesala area. I am very excited to meet everyone!

How exciting that you're coming with your daughter! We will be in Geesala on Sat. Are you in contact with your Coyle's? You might let them know you'll be in town. M. Munnelly in Geesala is letting the Munnellys in the area know that we'll be at High Chapparel (Munnelly's pub) Sat. night. Should be a fun crowd! Let your friends know about our May 1st deadline. Wonderful! As it gets closer to the reunion, check the daily itinerary on this site - so you'll know what we're doing and where we'll be. On the first night (June 22) we have reservations at the Wolfdog Tavern in Killala for dinner, music, etc. Spread the word to the Killala Munnellys - it would be great to have everyone there that night! Jarleth already knows, but I'm sure a reminder wouldn't hurt - he's a busy guy. Is your Mom the Carmel I met in Dec. 2009 with Mary and Jarleth? We're also having a dinner and band on Sun the 24th at Hotel Ballina. If you would be ok with putting up a couple of flyers for me in Killala, let me know and I'll send them - write me at katsjay2@bellsouth.net . Thanks. I look forward to meeting you! kathy

Yea! I'm happy to hear it Lisa! Thank your husband for me :) Your archeology trip sounds awesome too! For info on the hotel, go to the reunion' tab on this site, find 'accommodations' in the drop down box. Go to Hotel Ballina. Don't forget to mention you're with the Munnelly group. Click on 'free forms' to get what you need to write down your family history, and bring them with you - we're going to share with each other - and hopefully make some connections! BTW - do you know about the 'Munnelly Connection' on Facebook? It's awesome! You definitely want to check that out. Let me know if you have any questions about that. Will you be coming alone? The first week of May, I'll be posting the daily itinerary on the reunion page. I look forward to meeting you!

My daughters, Helen Kathryn Steele and Maura Bobinski, and I will be at the reunion. My grandfather, Patrick Monley or 'Munley" arrived in the USA around 1890-1900 from County Mayo.We will stay with my children's cousins Noel Dee and Chris Timbs, who live in Ballina..

my father was William Munnelly from Lacken/Killala area? He was born oct 19 1911. I know he had 2 sisters Bea and Ellie. He went to England married Bridget Clarke from Castlemagee Carrowmore Lacken. His sisterBea went to New York and Ellie went to England, Married a Thomas Langan. If anyone can help me trace my ancestors I would be so grateful. I look forward to the reunion.

My dauhters, Helen and Maura, are coming to the reunion with me. My mother's name was Kathryn Monley. Monley was a corruption of Munnelly. The Munnellys came from County Mayo and settled near Scranton in Pennsylvania some time before 1900.. Helen now lives in Maryland, Maura in Connecticut and I in Washington, D.C.

My daughter and I will be attending the reunion. We will be staying in Belmullet at Drom Caoin! It is a wonderful B&B as my husband and I stayed there in 2010.

I was looking at the itinerary for Friday and we will be driving up from Kerry on Friday and stopping at the Cliffs along the way. We will meet up at Wolfgangs Tavern that night. We are staying in Belmullet at Drom Caoin. It is a delightful B&B that my husband and I stayed at in 2010. What night are we in Geesala?

The daily itineraries have been up on this website for just over a week now. Please click on the 'reunion' tab. The drop-down box has a seperate page for each day of the reunion. Let me know what you think.

What a fantastic idea ! My dad is originally from Doohoma (Tony Munnelly) and we were only recently doing a family tree with his grandchildren (my children).
He is great for story-telling. His great aunt, Bridget Munnelly emigrated to U.S.A. in the 1870s but he can actually go back further than this.
We all look forward to meeting you, the weekend of June 23nd.
